Employees Registering for Orientations:
Welcome to Northern Arizona University and congratulations on your new position!  New Employee Orientation and Benefits Orientation are two separate orientations for regular, benefit-eligible employees. Please make sure you register for each one you will attend. Employees may attend these orientations only after their official start date. 
 
New Employee Orientation:  New Employee Orientation (NEO) is required of all new benefit eligible employees (faculty, staff, administrators) and must be completed within 30 days of the employee's start date. This program provides important information about NAU, including:
  • the mission, goals and values of the university and how they relate to individual roles
  • key policies employees need to be aware of in the course of their daily work
  • the rights and responsibilities employees have in their employment relationship with NAU
  • the key resources available to employees

  • Thursday, May 16, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Health and Learning Center (Building 25), Room 2407
  • Wednesday, June 19, 7:30 - 9:30 a.m., Health and Learning Center (Building 25), Room 2405
  • Wednesday, July 17, 7:30 - 9:30 a.m., Health and Learning Center (Building 25), Room 2405
  • Wednesday, August 14, 7:30 - 9:30 a.m., Health and Learning Center (Building 25), Room 2405
  • Friday, August 23, 10:00 - 12:00 noon, Health Professions (Building 66), Room 101

 

Benefits Orientation
Employees are strongly encouraged to also sign up for a benefits orientation to better understand all the options available in the NAU benefit package. As a newly hired employee you must complete your benefits enrollment within a certain time frame from your start date. Enrollment includes not only enrolling online, but also submitting any required forms and supporting documentation to Human Resources.

  • Wednesday, August 14, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m., Health and Learning Center (Building 25), Room 2405

 

For the Supervisor of the New Employee:
  • New Employee Orientation and Benefits Orientation are two separate orientations. Please make sure your new employee registers for both.
  • Employees may only attend these orientations after their official start date.
  • Employees must have a LOUIE user ID and password to register for these courses. To help them ensure they can get registered, please provide them with their employee ID (from the ePAR) and direct them to contact the ITS Solution Center (3-1511) to get their user ID and password.
