Compassionate Transfer of Leave (CTL) Program Looking for Donations

The compassionate transfer of leave (CTL) policy allows NAU benefit-eligible employees to transfer a portion of their accrued vacation hours to eligible employees who are unable to work due to catastrophic illness or injury.

Fast Facts: 

• Human Resources in now able to pool donations and hold for future use.
• Even one or two hours of donated vacation can make a difference when converted to sick leave for a person in need.
• When employees leave the university, only up to one year of accrued vacation can be paid out - the rest is forfeited. Now, however, exiting employees can choose to donate the excess to the CTL pool.
