Third Paycheck of the Month Now Has Deductions

The June 29th paycheck is a third paycheck of the month. Beginning in January 2012, deductions were spread out over all 26 paychecks - not just the 24 as we did in the past - so that a smaller amount would come out of every check. As a result, you'll see benefits premiums deducted from the third paychecks in June and in November, as well as, deductions for other programs you might participate in (annual fund, dining dollars, athletics event tickets, etc.).

For those who have other types of payroll deductions, here are a few exceptions during this transition year: 

• Parking and Recreation Center deductions will not be deducted from the June check but will be deducted from the November check.
• United Way will not be deducted from the third paychecks this year, but will be deducted from them in 2013.

Note: For some annual fund contributers who selected 18 or 24 payments on the old form, the system will deduct 19 or 26 payments respectively.
