Special Information - Northern Arizona University is conducting a national search to fill a two-year, with potential renewal, non-tenure track position for the Bachelor of Business Administration program in one or more of the following areas: Management; Finance and Accounting; and/or Management Information Systems. Renewal is based on successful annual review and continued funding of the position.
- Location: While the administrative and curricular structure of the BBA program is located in Yuma, Arizona, the location of this position is in the Phoenix Metro area where enrollment in NAU's statewide Bachelor of Business Administration program is growing rapidly. Location is based on the need for faculty to teach in the face-to-face environment in the NAU program based at Paradise Valley Community College with responsibilities to teach at other community college partner institutions in the Phoenix metro area.
- This position has an optimal start date of January 2010; however, a later start date may be considered for the successful candidate.

Job Description - Support the Bachelor of Business Administration program by teaching classes in Management; Finance and Accounting; and/or Management Information Systems.
- Deliver courses in-person in the Phoenix Metro area and via the Web to students in the Extended Campuses.
- Work with other faculty to create and implement innovative curricula for the BBA program.
- Develop and provide applied research opportunities for students within the BBA program.
- Assist in the effort of attaining ACBSP accreditation.
- Provide academic and career advisement to students.
Minimum Qualifications - Earned doctorate in business or related field with a graduate-level major, minor, or concentration in Management; Finance and Accounting; and/or Management Information Systems.
- Ability to meet ACBSP professional qualification requirements.
- OR
- Earned doctorate in business or related field.
- Five years university-level teaching experience in Management; Finance and Accounting; and/or Management Information Systems or a minimum of two years teaching experience and five years professional experience in these disciplines or a combination thereof.
- Ability to meet ACBSP professional qualification requirements.
- OR
- Earned Juris Doctor with a master's degree in business or related field.
- Five years university-level teaching experience in one of the disciplines listed above or a minimum of two years teaching experience and five years professional experience in these disciplines or a combination thereof.
- Ability to meet ACBSP professional qualification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications - Excellence in teaching via the Web as demonstrated by teaching evaluations.
- Excellence in teaching courses in Management; Finance and Accounting; and/or Management Information Systems as demonstrated by teaching evaluations.
- An expressed ability and a strong desire to teach and work in tandem with other faculty or team members.
- Evidence of experience in gaining programmatic accreditation noted in the cover letter.
- Evidence of an active professional scholarly record that is in accord with ACBSP requirements.
- Evidence of commitment to teaching and working with a culturally and ethnically diverse student and university community.
