For the Employee Registering for Orientations:
Welcome to Northern Arizona University and congratulations on your new position! Use the New Employee Checklist to help you get started on key tasks in your first few days.
New Employee Orientation - please register in advance.
The Human Resources Department sponsors a half-day New Employee Orientation (NEO) each month. This program provides important information about NAU, including:
- the mission, goals and values of the university
- the role each employee plays as an ambassador for NAU
- key policies employees need to be aware of
- pertinent information about your paycheck, e-mail account, NAU ID card, and parking
- university and community ‘perks’ for NAU employees
Benefits Orientation - please register in advance.
You should also sign up for a benefits orientation to better understand all the options available to you in your NAU benefit package. As a newly hired employee you must complete your benefits enrollment within 31 days of your date of hire. Enrollment includes not only enrolling online, but also submitting all required forms and supporting documentation to Human Resources.
