If a claim is denied, a protest of denial can be filed with the Industrial Commission. The NAU Human Resources office can assist employees with the process of Protest of Denial, Request for Hearing, Petition to Reopen, and other appeal processes. Copies of forms can be obtained from the RMSS office.

It is the employee's responsibility to understand all notices and documents that allow for hearing requests in the event of disagreements, and it is also the employee's responsibility to make current addresses know to the Industrial Commission and State Risk Management.
