Reduction in Force   Print

A reduction in force may occur when a department faces reduced funding, changes in work requirements, and/or departmental reorganization.

Human Resources helps department heads with policy compliance and guidance through the process in addition to providing general assistance and resources to the employees involved.

A reduction in force can affect all employee classifications within a unit, although the policy and processes involved are different.
