2.01 General Policy on Classification and Compensation

The purpose of this policy is to communicate Northern Arizona University’s general compensation policy and the Arizona Universities’ Classification and Compensation System.
Northern Arizona University’s policy is to compensate employees on the basis of individual performance, market, applicable state and federal laws, and Arizona Board of Regents' policies.
The Arizona Universities' Classification and Compensation System (AUCCS) applies to all classified staff at the three state universities and the Arizona Board of Regents' Central Office. The purpose of this system is to maintain common job descriptions, a common rate structure (pay grade ranges) and a common job evaluation system for all classified employees in the Arizona Universities’ Classification and Compensation System (AUCCS).
The responsibility and authority for administering the Arizona Universities' Classification and Compensation System (AUCCS) at Northern Arizona University is delegated to the Vice President for Finance and Administration or designee.
